Silvia Cardona, DDS
Dr. Cardona was born and raised in Mexico. She came to Utah for Graduate School in Genetic Engineering, and then to California to attend the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Cardona is an animal lover; she has raised multiple homeless pets since she was a child. Her big dream was to be a member of the Humane Society and protect helpless animals.
She is an avid reader, loves early music and has a passion for the visual arts.
In addition, she is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, and regularly practices the discipline of meditation. Walking a Spiritual Path is the single most important thing in her life.
A lifelong student, Dr. Cardona loves to take continuing Education courses. Her passion for Dentistry allows her to provide the best services available in a warm and caring manner.
Dr. Cardona earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree Magna Cum Laude from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1988. After completing Dental School, she earned a Masters of Science Degree in Genetic Engineering from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. After 3 years of scientific explorations, Dr. Cardona decided to go into Clinical Practice in Dentistry, which she has been doing since 1990.
Dr. Cardona strives for excellence in education and patient care. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the American Prosthodontic Society. She is a graduate of the prestigious Pankey Institute, an Institution of Higher Dental Education dedicated to Excellence in the Practice of Dentistry and Comprehensive Dental Care. In addition, every year, she completes over 200 hours of continuing education courses that allow her to implement the most advanced treatment in her practice.
Originally from Northern California, Dr. Chan now calls Southern California home. She is married to her dental school sweetheart and the two live in Torrance, CA. Dr. Chan
attended the beautiful Stanford University for her undergraduate career and the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry for dental school.
Dr. Chan enjoys providing quality, conservative and appropriate dental care to her patients, as well as getting to know them and their families. Dr. Chan believes the relationship between dentist and patient can make or break a patient's dental experience and for that reason takes great care to show her patients she cares for and listens to their needs. Dr. Chan also believes in education and the power it has to change a patient's oral health.
Dr. Chan believes in giving back to the community and enjoys cooking, reading, and hiking. In her spare time she can be found working out with her husband, sipping on coffee, at church, or spending time with friends.
Dr. Jennifer Nguyen, DMD
Born in Canada and raised in Texas, Dr. Jennifer Nguyen now calls LA her home. With 12+ years in the dental field, Dr. Nguyen has both clinical and dental research experience. Her clinical experience extends from community clinics and hospital based dentistry to private offices. Dr. Nguyen’s research has led her to publications in early detection of oral cancer, white spot lesions related to Ortho, and digital imaging using Cone Beam CT (3D imaging).
Dr. Nguyen earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, a Masters in Public Health from the University of Texas, and her BS in Biochemical and Biophysics from the University of Houston. Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Los Angeles Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Nguyen believes dentistry is a conservative balancing art. With proper education, preventative care, and early diagnosis, patients can be fully educated on how to best treat and preserve their oral health. Dr. Nguyen is Invisalign certified and can provide Nitrous Oxide. Whatever your oral concerns may be, Dr. Nguyen and her team will provide you with an individualized and effective treatment plan.
In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys being active, exploring Southern California with her husband and her fur-baby, Teddy, and looking for the next best restaurant to try. She continues to give back to the community, and enjoys perfecting her art in dentistry through continuing education courses.
